It took place on Friday 5 May at the hypogeum of the Basilica "Incoronata Madre del Buon Consiglio" in Naples, on the occasion of the eleventh year of the Beatification of Giuseppe Toniolo, the conference "Labor policies today. The thought of Giuseppe Toniolo". The event was promoted by the National Foundation of Toniolian Studies Campania, in collaboration with the Network of associations "Giuseppe Toniolo" (Foundation of Toniolian Studies Campania, Fondazione Guida to Culture, T. & L. De Beaumont Bonelli Foundation, Ad Alta Voce, AMCI Diocesan Section of Nola, Arcobaleno, FORUM of health and social associations, The Fountain of the Village, The Mission of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, MCL Provincial Union of Naples, Prometheus, Terre of Campania, UCID (Christian Union of Executive Entrepreneurs) Campania and Naples; Pro Loco of San Vitaliano) of the “G. de Chirico” of Torre Annunziata and the patronage: Archdiocese of Naples, MIM (Ministry of Education and Merit) – Regional School Office for Campania - General Management; CISL Campania, UCSI (Catholic Union of the Italian Press) Campania, ACLI Naples, UGCI (Union of Italian Catholic Jurists) of Naples, UGCI (Union of Italian Catholic Jurists) section of Nola “Nicola Ferraro”, Ass. LAN (Friends of the LAN Liceo Artistico of Naples Artists in Movement), ACI (Italian Catholic Action) of the Diocese of Naples, SEGNI dei TIMES and LAPILLI.

After the greetings of Mons. Nicola Longobardo, Rector of the Basilica "Incoronata Madre del Buon Consiglio" of Capodimonte and Ecclesiastical Assistant of the Toniolian Studies Foundation for Campania and Southern Italy, who recalled "the importance and topicality of Blessed Toniolo's thought", the Coordinator of the organizational secretariat of the “Giuseppe Toniolo” Prize, Felicio Izzo presented to the defendants and to the audience of young people of the “G. de Chirico” of Torre Annunziata the Announcement of the third edition of the “Giuseppe Toniolo” Prize competition.

Mario DiCostanzo, Episcopal Delegate for the Culture Sector of the Archdiocese of Naples, underlined that "the dignity of a man passes first of all through work", while Stephanie Brancaccio, Entrepreneur and National Vice-President of UCID and President of UCID Campania explained "how it is possible to do business and generate profits without necessarily having to oppress workers and destroy the planet". Doriana Buonavita, Secretary General of CISL Campania, instead added "how important it is especially for young people to have the right models of inspiration". You closed the conference on professor emeritus, former Full Professor of Labor Law at the University of Naples “Federico II, Mario Rusciano, who invited the youngsters “to read our Constitution, focusing on art. 36. It begins like this: – said the professor – The worker has the right to a remuneration proportionate to the quantity and quality of his work and in any case sufficient to ensure a free and dignified existence for himself and his family". He moderated the meeting on journalist and press officer of the Diocese of Pozzuoli Charles Lettieri.
