6644th

The activity of the Diocesan Institute “Beato Toniolo. The streets of the Saints” of Pieve di Soligo, which looks to the commitments of the new year with the will to follow up on the very good and flattering results achieved in the twelve months which are now almost completely behind us. The main indications on future themes and lines of action of the Vittoria reality presided over by Fr Andrea Dal Cin, episcopal vicar for the coordination of pastoral activities, came from the work of the recent meeting of the internal scientific commission held in Pieve di Soligo, which drew up a rich balance sheet for 2022 and laid the foundations for the priorities of the initiatives included in the agenda of the year to come. As explained by the scientific director of the Institute, Marco Zabotti, 2023 marks the 105th anniversary of the death of Blessed Giuseppe Toniolo (1845 - 1918), and precisely the eighth edition of the Prize named after the great Catholic economist and sociologist will be the leitmotif of the year, with the subject matter of events and insights "The fullness of human and Christian life for a "society of saints" and for the rebirth of the spirit of community, on the model of works and days of blessed Giuseppe Toniolo”. It must be said that a stage in Pieve of the diocesan Social Week is already scheduled for February, which in its 1907th edition will pay homage in the Cathedral to the blessed Treviso founder in Pistoia in XNUMX of the Social Weeks. And then an important program of activities related to the statutory "mission" of the "Beato Toniolo", in particular with the training of cultural operators, visits, patronage of publications and synergies on the knowledge and enhancement of the rich religious heritage between Piave and Livenza, in close collaboration with the competent diocesan office for sacred art and ecclesiastical cultural heritage with which he is in charge Don Mirco Miotto. Precisely in this area, full satisfaction was expressed for the creation and publication of the series “Places of the Sacred in Unesco land”, with 51 videos of 74 churches in all 29 municipalities in the area included in the dioceses of Vittorio Veneto and Padua, officially presented in Tarzo last June, which saw the light thanks to the concrete support of Prealpi San Biagio Bank. The meeting in Pieve di Soligo of the scientific commission, extended to the participation of witnesses/sponsors of the Institute, began with the Eucharistic concelebration in the cathedral presided over by Don Andrea Dal Cin. Subsequently, in the great hall Giuseppe Toniolo at the Careni patronage, the real meeting began with the communication of the co-optation in the body of  Alessandra DeNardi, member of the Keepers of Beauty group at the monumental church of Saints Peter and Paul in Roganzuolo Castle, and of Gino Sutto, from Campo di Pietra, current diocesan councilor of Azione Cattolica, contact person of the IBT communication staff. The deputy mayor of Pieve di Soligo, Luisa Cigagna, present at the meeting representing the mayor Stefano Soldan, had words of esteem and gratitude for the Institute's activity, confirming the contribution of the City of Pieve di Soligo also to the 2023 Giuseppe Toniolo Prize. For the testimonials/sponsors, there were Lorenzo Brugnera, president of the Soligo Dairy; Raffaella Da Ros, president of the cooperative Insieme Si può; Piero De Faveri, vice president of the Colli del Soligo winery and board member of the Consorzio Tutela Prosecco Docg Conegliano Valdobbiadene board; Romano Volpato, founder of the “Giuseppe Toniolo” Rural Families Association; Gabriele Dal Ben, owner of the Dal Ben spa company in San Stino di Livenza: all expressed profound harmony and appreciation with respect to the vision, values and concrete activities put in place by the "Blessed Toniolo", renewing their commitment to collaboration and support. Other invited sponsor friends justified their absence, confirming attention and synergy. Gratitude was expressed to the archpriest of Pieve di Soligo, Monsignor Joseph Nadal, who welcomed everyone with great warmth and an exquisite sense of hospitality, offering an excellent buffet with a toast to the participants. The Istituto Beato Toniolo made a Christmas gift of the volume to those present and CS members “Giuseppe Toniolo”, di Oreste Bazzichi. At the end, ritual photos with the whole group under the large image of Blessed Giuseppe Toniolo. In recent days, the "Blessed Toniolo" sent a message of congratulations and good luck in his new important role to the president Lorenzo Brugnera, elected to lead Confcoopertive Bl – Tv, who in his speech in Pieve had spoken of the work of blessed Toniolo, of the value of cooperation and of 2023 milestone of the 140th anniversary of the foundation of Latteria Soligo.
