Il Bishop Corrado Pizziolo proceeded to appoint the leaders of the Beato Toniolo Diocesan Institute. The ways of the Saints for the new three-year period 2024/2027: you are called to the role of president Annalina Sartori, while he is confirmed in the role of scientific director and vice president Marco Zabotti.
Doctor Sartori, from Vittoria, the first woman in the recent history of the Beato Toniolo Institute to assume the functions of president, has been director of the diocesan service for the teaching of the Catholic religion (Irc) since October 2023, an office with which she has collaborated since in the year 2000, after obtaining a two-year specialist master's degree at the Iusve in Venice. Her educational and professional career is important: after graduating from high school at Flaminio in Vittorio Veneto, she obtained a master's degree in religious sciences in Padua and has been an IRC teacher since 1986. She is currently a religion teacher at the middle school of the “Andrea Zanzotto” in Vittorio Veneto. Annalina Sartori takes office at the end of the assignment Fr Andrea Dal Cin, president of IBT for the last two years, current vicar for the coordination of the pastoral activities of the diocese.
Dr. Zabotti, from Piedmont, law graduate, journalist and author of two recent volumes inspired by Blessed Giuseppe Toniolo, is confirmed for the third consecutive mandate in the role of scientific director and vice president which he had assumed for the first time in March 2017, upon the foundation of the new Beato Toniolo Institute.
This special reality was expressly desired by Bishop Pizziolo to promote knowledge of the thoughts and works of the great Catholic economist and sociologist from Treviso (1845 – 1918) – whose mortal remains are kept in the Cathedral of Pieve di Soligo – popular devotion and happy outcome of the cause of canonization itself, together with the promotion of themes concerning Christian social doctrine, culture, spirituality, beauty, the training and activity of experts and cultural operators for visits to churches, the valorisation of the heritage widespread sacred art and religious and convivial tourism networked with communities and the territory. The activity carried out in recent years by the Beato Toniolo Institute of the diocese of Vittorio Veneto has also been intense and appreciated at a national level, which recently contributed to the Venetian City of Culture 2023 program with the great success of the thirteen concerts of the "Musica d 'summer in art and beauty' in the churches of the UNESCO World Heritage area of ​​the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, and for 2024 the ninth edition of the Giuseppe Toniolo Prize has already been planned. The first meeting in the new three-year period of the scientific commission of the Beato Toniolo Institute is expected in the next few days: among other things, it will provide for the voting of the three elective members among the seven who are part of the IBT board of directors.
